Our Mission

Our department is working on the research and education about various global issues such as poverty, infrastructure, environment, resources, policy, etc., aiming to grow professionals for such issues. We are unique in that we deal with real problems, taking inter-disciplinary approach, based on specific academic fields, including economics, engineering, agriculture, sociology, political science. Students have variety of background in undergraduate education, and we believe that variety is our strength.

What You Can Learn

Foreign students can apply for and complete our courses without any knowledge of the Japanese language, because many courses are given in English and students may write their theses and make their final presentations in English. Our graduates are working in various fields including public organization and academic positions.

Admissions

We have two entrance examinations in summer (Schedule A in August) and winter (Schedule B in January or February). Examination is conducted in both Japanese and English.
