Examination date and procedures for FY2022 Entrance Examination Schedule B


The Department of International Studies will conduct the entrance examination (Schedule B) as follows.

 

1. Examination dates and procedures
As of November 15, the examination dates and procedures remain unchanged from the ones in the Guidelines to Master Course & Doctor Course as well as in the Guide to The 2022 Entrance Examination of Master & Doctor Courses of Division of Environmental Studies. However, in case the situation of COVID-19 deteriorates further, the examination may switch to entirely online.

 

2. Mitigating circumstances for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 applicants

  1. Master’s Course Ordinary Examination applicants will be provided with an alternative opportunity to take the examination online if they are deemed unable to take the examination on campus. In the alternative online examinations, the Written examination will be conducted on January 18, and the Oral examination on either January 19 or 20. Further details will be enclosed with the admission ticket, scheduled to be sent in the middle of December.
  2. In the alternative online examinations, the English examination will be prepared by the Department, instead of TOEFL-ITP. The contents of the Written and Oral examinations will remain the same as described in the Guide to The 2022 Entrance Examination of Master & Doctor Courses of Division of Environmental Studies.

The Examination dates for FY2022 Entrance Examination Schedule B has been determined as follows. The information about the time and venue of the examination will be sent to the applicants in due course.

 

Master’s course （Limited places available）
■ Ordinary examination (Written and Oral): Tuesday, January 18, and Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
■ Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education: Tuesday, January 18, or Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

 

Doctoral course （Limited places available）
■ Ordinary examination: Tuesday, January 18, or Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
■ Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education: Tuesday, January 18, or Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

 

Depending on the situation of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), there may be changes in our entrance examination procedures. Because the situation is fluid, please make sure to check the latest information on the Department of International Studies website as well as on the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences website before applying.
